Alright heres the deal, this kid on my block just got a 2001 mitsu eclipse v6 manual trans. He has already been down a few times talken about how he wants to race in the spring, my question is,. what do i need to beat him( 1/4 mile) without going turbo...I would ask if its even possible, but i know that anything is possible, just expensive. Suggestions anyone? ..

Those arn't very hard to take down boss, around 200hp but quite slow, Ive taken plenty down, I have BBTB with aos cai and a full 2.5 inch exhaust with tons of weight reduction. Then again, Im also a very good driver. But you won't need much, trust me. I suggest atleast having those mods I just listed down, other some cams or n20 would do the trick easliy. Start off with all the usual things like CAI, Exhaust, Headers, BBTB, etc... Then if you really want to mess him up in a race, go with a small shot of nitrous (55 shot) or turbo or SC application. I have an AOS cold air intake, full 2.5 custom cat-back with an arospeed exhaust. I have heard some real good things about the bbtb from shark racing so im probley going to pull the trigger on that one soon. I drove the mitsu the other day and it deffinetly didnt seem to be as quick. I appreciate the suggestions you guys - <img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>

get your intake manifold bored out to match. people love the bbtb, but when they get the IM matched to it, that is when they really love it and you can really feel it
