I replaced the belt on my 99 Accent and it was a snap. BTW I do not have PS or AC so nothing was in the way. The only trouble that I had was removing the crank bolt. My air gun was not powerful enough and I had to borrow a 600 FT LB one.

OK I have looked here and I have the crank bolt taken off but the pulley wont come off. Is there something that I am not doing? Do I need a puller to remove this?

A puller may help - but usually a good firm tap with a hammer (not a slug) will help to loosen it up. I have seen pry bars used, but only VERY rarely.
