Anyone have a good technique or tool that can compress this damn spring to the tentioner. This is for the 1.5L engine.

i just replied to a guy doing his timing belt with the same question

it is a pain in the ass I do know that

I can't remeber what I actually used to get mine back in but I tried just about every tool I had.

to answer your question there isn't a easy way just try try again till it goes back in

aw man, that thing is a pain in the assssss, you remember how loose my timing belt was i had 2 change it, but as soon as i wanted 2 this coldddd weather came through.

ok i got i ton, used two prybars put the bottom of the tensionerspring on and pryed the top one, car works great, needs new spark plugs and its good 2 go
