Just bought some new Firestone Indy 500 tires in the 195/50/15 size for the accent.

They perform very well. Provides great cornering but holeshot traction could be better. It's also cold here in Chicago, and will have to wait for it to really heat up before I give final word.

They are better then the Remington 195/50/15's that were on there when new (something 120-gtr) By far in corning and holeshot tho.

Compared them to the kuhmo 711 and choose these, hopefully I made a good choice.

I had toyo T1-Rs[195/50/15]... they grip like no other, but lasted me about 6-8k mi. they're bald... but as far as performance, they're awesome for street. I'm going to pick up some kumho 711s just cause the price is good...[40$ a piece at tirerack.com]

what did the indy's cost you, what other tires have people found?

AWESOME tire. Great traction in cornering and do very well on wet surfaces. They can handle 30-40+ mph turns with my coilovers with no problem. Great choice for autocrossing. Z-speed rated.
