What is worng with me? I have never been like this before in my life! The last few months i have been sleeping like a log al night and even get so tired i have to take naps during the day time too. I am only gonna be 20 in march not 60!!! And where is all this gaining weight all of a sudden coming from? I use to have a slightly fast motabilism or what ever it is. I feel as if i am a 60 yr old man trapped inside a 20 yr old body! I think i am an alien! Because most of that weight i am gaining is not alot of fat, its about half and half fat/muscle. But i do work out about 3-4 times a week. I just dont get why i am so tired.

your not eating right, try eating apart of your main 4 food groups, you working out only 3-4 times a week and having no energy in the first place WILL NOT help you. Eat healty stuff and get 8 hours of sleep every night, DO NOT take naps, Try eating steak and eggs drink OJ and things that have protein, run some time durning the day. Don't lay around get up and do something, This could also be something mental too, thats why I suggest you eat well, get out more and try to exersize and eat right.

I went through the same problem when I was 18. I put on all kinds of fat causein my H.S. years I could eat whatever I wanted but my metabolism slowed and I packed on a lot of fat. What I did was put myself on a strict diet and went to the gym 3-5 days a week and it worked wonders for me. I really doubt that its mono cause my GF had it and she actually lost bout 20 lbs cause of it. but it could very well be mono. I suggest if this doesnt help go see ur doctor. One other thing if u take in alot of caffeine in a day I suggest taking in less maybe even none period cause if u take in a lot of caffiene ur body gets used to it and u need more and more to stay awake.
Good Luck

Well i think its my eating habits, i never eat breakfast and sometimes skip lunch and the only times i eat is several small meals in the late evening. Because i actually ate lunch yesterday and i felt great all day. And i think the weight gaining part may be coming from eating alot before bedtime!!! Anyways thanks for the help guys!!!!!

From what I hear you need to eat 5-6 small meals throught out the day. Instead of 3 large meals this will help bring your motableism back up. Also with you only eating a couple of times a day your body holds on to the food and minerals longer b/c it doesn't know when the next time it will be feed. So it holds on so if you start to eat smaller meals more often it will pass food quicker. That might be one reason for the wieght gain also. When I was working out before all the injurys this is what I would eat for the day.
breakfast=a couple of eggs scrambled with gray.
1st break at work=an apple and banna
lunch=a sandwich or burger
2nd=break another banna and apple
at the end of work befor leaving=apple or banna
work out
Dinner=smothing small either grilled or baked
then I would have a small snack a couple of hours before bed

This help me and I got a lot of energy out eating this way. Also try to cut down on caffine in you drink a lot of it and drink more water. Just my .02.

its not mono, i'm pretty sure of that. especially if you are gaining weight. i think you lose your apetite when you have mono therefore you can't gain weight.

I've had mono twice, and both times I still had a big appetite.

The second time around, my doctor didn't believe that I had mono, because it's nearly impossible to get it twice, so he wouldn't even do the blood test. Until another month passed and the problem was still there, so he did the test, and surprise, surprise, I had mono AGAIN, just like I told him.
