Fromwhat I am hearing, the LC accent tranny is weak compared to the tib tranny. Would it be possible to swap the tranny from the tib into the accent, since the tib motor bolts up to the accent tranny? I am thinking I will keep the 1.6L and make it a monster, so I want a tranny strong enough to handle it.

Theoretically yes, but nobody that I know of has tried it.

If this is the case, the tiby tranny should work with the Accent Motor, but I would worry about getting enough power out of the accent motor to damage the stock tranny first.

The Tiburon is geared very differently than the Accent, Ill have to go back and check the gear ratio's to find out if it will speed you up or slow you down.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.

I believe he was talking about after he gets his motor built up a little bit, which is what I was planning on doing until I decided to just go with the whole Tib motor too.

But yes, I wouldn't recommend using the Tib tranny until you have your Alpha III motor built up a little more.

That was the idea! I think 250HP, daily driven, without forced induction, is a good goal. I'll prob. end up with a monster turbo or an endyn supercharger though.
