I have 2.0 Tibby '97 with 100.000 km. Is it wise to put a chip in? I heard the engine can't take more than 100k+ with it. So far i have put a K&N con air filter and nothing more. Any suggestions on what to do next?

nope it's not wise, as you're just a beginner, most if not all TUNING CHIPS out there, are purchased by you stating what you have done to the engine, and then what they do is to tune it for your modifications, but if later you were to get headers and exhaust, everytime you do something major you'd have to send the chip back and have them retune it... this is why it's not wise to get a chip

Let's further add that you can't simply add a chip to our cars...the entire ecu has to be reprogrammed.

And as far as having over 100,000 km with it, it will not hurt it at all.
Whoever told you that is smoking some serious crack.

So what should I do next to get more PS. Besides buying v6 tibby <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> I'm used to driving faster cars (130ps+ all my life)

Things to do next:

Plan your course of action. Are you gonna keep your car naturally aspirated, or are you gonna do boost? If you're gonna boost, do you want to supercharge or turbocharge?

Good N/A mods: headers, cold air intake, bored IM, bored / larger TB, cams, cat-back exhaust

Good SC mods: headers, cold air intake, larger TB, cams, cat-back...no need for a bored IM because the SC will replace it

Good TC mods: cold air intake, bored IM, larger TB, cat-back....no need for headers because the turbo replaces it...cams aren't as important as you don't want anything too wild, and the stock ones aren't all that bad.

Strut tower braces, lower springs and struts are good general suspension modifications that will improve your handling.
