what's with all this 1g, 2g, 16g, t25 stuff when they're talking about turbo's?<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

it looks like i'm wearing pants... but i'm not!

Each company that makes turbo's gives them model designations. The various different names you mentioned are model designations given by the turbo companies. Like the difference between "accent" and "Tiburon"...yes they are both cars, but they are very different. Same with the differece between a T-3 and T-68

As you can probably guess, <b>usually</b> the higher number indicates a larger, higher flowing turbo.

Leave it to Random to Needlessly complicate things.

Random is correct, one more thing, when they talk about 16G or Super 60, or 60-1 etc they are referring to the compressor wheel of the turbocharger and these always have compressor maps available for them.

Compressor maps are used to design and select your turbocharger components in orderto match it to the engine intended to be used on.
