Ok guys, Alpine makes turbos for tibs/elantras, hve and capa racing makes them for accents, now before you decide to jump into a turbo here are a few things you will need, Assuming you are getting a full kit from say alpine or capa you will still need to upgrade the fuel system, then if you want more than the stock boost you will need to get pistons, rods, new rings, bigger injectors etc. the basic turbo will run $2gs and another $1-2gs more if you want more power. If anyone tells you hondas can do it easier their full of it, they have to go thru the same thing and same costs. Now if you do have the cash go for it, get a good shop and some time.

I _think_ the alpine comes with a fifth injector and independant fuel controller for it.. and I _think_ the stock pump and all is plenty fine. But I also _think_ I could be wrong heh

hell yeah turbo cost madd money yo. remember you can always go to Onpol on fxtreme(real cool guy) and he can get it done for you. depending on what you want him to do and what parts you cant get off ebay *grin*. cause he turboed his tibby and im getting the same set up from him. for my elantra. but like Brendan said at least 2K for stock boost 7psi and another 1-2K to run over that. and you will need to get big brakes to stop all that power safely. new heavy duty clutch and a torque converter for us automatics out there. so if you ready to spend the money..GO GET IT!!!

i suggest you buy everything and get everything done at once so you dont have time to think about the money you are spending. do it all at once and by the time the credit cards are maxed, your lights and phone turned off and you are eating mustard sandwiches for dinner. you will be already at 15psi be over 250HP.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

kdm power...i need a body kit

In reply to the turbo lag comment: Actually, there is a company out there that isdeveloping a small electric motor that gets the turbine spinning first and it virtually eliminates turbo lag. This was in one of the recent issues of Popular Science.

Drive it like you stole it.

I believe it was Garrett working on that.
