Problems with certain anti-lag systems is that the heat generated from the ignition retard and overfueling reaches up to 1400Celcius!

You keep this engaged too long and you will be picking up your exhaust pipe and turbine housing from the ground ... in liquid form! <img src=/images/forums/snitz/mad.gif width=16 height=16 border=0>

Another very bad thing for any turbocharged vehicle is a backfire! We have seen busted turbine shafts and obliterated turbinewheels along with splintered housings caused by backfires! In most dizzy (distributor) pulsed engines, if the rotor phase is incorrect you will have the plug firing at the wrong time and cause a backfire through the intake - if the car is turbocharged you will actuallyhear the turbine wheel spooling down from the backfire! --- Woooossshhh sound (not a dump from the BOV, but the turbo spooling down through the air filter.
