Hello Again,

I got my new "Powered by Mitsubishi Eclipse" decals from http://www.stickerhere.com arrive in the mail today. Fairly appropriate for my conversion i think. Props to this company for excellent service. Take a look at the bottom of this link to check out the new pics. - http://dsm20.topcities.com/bodywork.htm

..so if u pulled ur 4g63 from an eagle talon ur stcker would say "powered by eagle talon" ? ..which would really be kinda dumb as the eagle talon isn't even powered by eagle-made engines. "powered by mitsubishi" with no eclipse in there should be what u put on it, if u put a sticker on at all. persoanlly id go for the sleeper look...

just tryin to gve u constructve criticism, cus ur car isn't powered by and eclipse.. its powered by the same thing that powers an eclipse..

how can the guy go sleeper??? he's got an intercooler sticking out his front bumper. I agree tho about the eclipse part. and in general, I tend to not like "powered by" stickers!!

The proper term is 4G63T, and it's not just the motor that is converted. The gearbox, driveshafts, cv joints, ecu and wiring loom are all part of the equation. You're right, it would be silly to put powered by eagle talon, as it is powered by a mitsubishi motor, however this doesn't apply at all to me, as i received a 2nd Generation 1998 mitsubishi eclipse front cut, and not an eagle talon front cut.

The reason why it says eclipse is because the eclipse isn't available in australia, therefore everyone assumes it's a galant vr4 engine transplant running on the standard fwd sonata box. I understand what you are saying, but because of all the other eclipse factors in my car, the eclipse decal is relevant. The first question everyone asks me before the decal was on my car was "is it the standard motor turbocharged?" to avoid having to explain that it isn't the standard motor, i have put the decals on. I'm not a big fan of decals myself, it's just on the bonnet for car shows and the local meeting point. There are no decals on the back of my car to let the unsuspecting driver who pulls up next to me at the traffic lights know about my conversion. However, it is getting harder and harder to come across races as my car has been on the road turbocharged for 2 years now, so the stealth factor has pretty much dissapeared to all apart from the 5.slow crowd.

Having said that, I am considering getting a "4G63T" decal designed in italics to go beneath that. any thoughts?

So you just leave the intercooler exposed like that?

Is there a bumper that would fit over it?

yea hey guys sows everyone doin. I'm kinda new with the whole transplant thing but am wanting to a 97 2.0 Elantra motor in my 97 accent I was wondering if all they have to do is drop the motor in or if you have to do other configuations along with the motor as far as switching out other parts.
