Alright ive heard that upgrading your grounding wires can help an automatic transmission shift better. If someone has done this please let me know which wires and where they go so i can replace mine. Pics would be nice too and point out the locations where they mount. Also what kind of wire is best, i have some 8 gauge ground cable left over from my last cars amp kit, would this be adequte its only rated to 140 degrees fahrenhite. I know from personal experience that an engine bay gets hotter then that. Please Help.

I've got a buddy who hooked a ground wire to his lc, and his car does run smoother and quicker. If your looking for his profile his name is jonas, he can answer all your questions.

a better grounding system will help with any car. IT's not hard to do, it's called "the big three" in car audio circles.

1. Rerun the power wire using 4 gage car audio (high strand count) wire from your alternator to the battery.

2. Run a 4 gage ground of the same wire in black from the alternator bracket to chassis

3. Run a 4 gage ground wire from the battery negative to the chassis.

Do not use just any fittings on the ends of the wires, stinger makes a grounding block that improves the surface area of the ground.

You can actually do as many as you would like, liek transmission to chassis, etc, but after a certain point it will not help.

i bought the hyper ground system wires and the hyper voltage system gt from sun automobile. i really had to see for myself what grounding would do, so i shelled out the big bucks for a "real" ground system. i was pleased with the results.
sun auto claims:
gain torque and horsepower (yes, but not in any large numbers, enough to feel a diff)
better throttle response (yes, the car feels nice and"peppy")
increased fuel mileage (i haven't noticed that yet, cause i am driving my "peppy" car
like an idiot)
reduced emissions (can't really say, but last i checked my exhaust smelled really good)
brighter headlights (YES they are way brighter than before plus the interior light was so
bright i thought it might pop)
reduced audio noise (yes my factory system seemed to be louder than before)

over all i am happy with the way the sun auto ground system makes my car perform, worth $400.... i think so, if you have the money to spend. plus it is universal, so i can use it on any car i own in the future:duh:

$400 for a ground kit... some one just ran you for your money! A good ground wiring kit shouldn't exceed $50-$60
