Useless headlamps...

The headlamps on my 1992 Scoupe are worse than useless because the plastic lens has discolored almost to the point of opacity. As I have to replace them anyway, I thought about using left hand drive european spec headlamps and turnsignals. Anyone know where I can order the parts necessary without having to either go to europe (shame!) or order outside the US.

Hey melvyn... I'm sorry that I can't help you out on this one. Maybe if some of the scoupe owners drop by they can give you some advice. Would you consider going with clear corners?

I don't know of any places that sells scoupe stuff, but that's just me. Have you tried looking at some junk yards or something for some parts? Dunno just a suggestion.

Hope you find a solution. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks for the reply, Red. I would like clear corners, but I know the chances of finding some are next to nothing. As for the headlamps, I stopped by my local dealer today, and was quoted us$147 for each headlamp assembly! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

Guess it's time to go junkyard hunting again. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Clear corners are Factory parts offered by Shark Racing. They make them for all models and years. I forget the price, but check the website. I e-mailed them about them for a 91 Excel and they had them for every car and year.
