Can anyone point me in the right direction, going to install a CD into a 1990 excel.

well i'm not sure about installing a CD, but as far as wiring, all you need is the adaptor from fry's or cartoys that plugs into your factory harness & wires up to your cd' players wire's.... if you cut your factory harness plug off then you might be SOL if you threw away the plug

Get something like this:

Than splice that into your stereo harness. Than you just plug it into your factory harness w/ no splicing the cars factory wires. Easy.

Just get some butt-connectors from some Home Improvment store and some crimpers. That you just match the wires w/ whats from the stereo (cd player to the harness you will buy)
