Well it = one ****ed up rotor. That bitch took 45 mins to get off last night. The other one practically fell off.

So the moral story is when you have a warpped rotor, change it ASAP. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

I still use my warped rotors, stops the same, just makes the car sound like it's dying when braking at times, plus I couldn't get it off.

Yes a warpped rotor could cause one of your pads to wear-down more. In turn it would take more pressure on the peddle for the worn pad to make contact with the rotor. The other pad that is fine would have already made contact.

In simplier terms: One pad will be stopping the one rotor, while the warpped rotor still spins, cause the wheels to turn.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

since m6y brakes wear out in 5,000 miles, and i dont know to replace the pads before the rotors are destroyed cause they dont make any noise, i just keep them on until they dont stop the car anymore, and i have to use the hand brake. its rather fun. then i get them fixed and midas says, these are the worst rotors ive ever seen. i laugh and say, wanna buy my car?

I drive a 1997 Kia Sephia with 75,000 miles on it.

well mines have been and probaly will be for the next couple months
although i did just get new brake pads for 20 bucks!!!<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
so i guess my question is as long as they stop the car, the rotors wont actually brake off will they?? cause i already think they are damaged beyond repair!
