My warranty is still live and strong on my 2000 Tiburon, but I want to change some things. So what voids the warranty? Does any of these:

New gauges
body kits
new tail lights
new heads, fogs, or signal lights
new pedals
new stick shifts

Is there a cut and dry list, a short list, of what voids the warranty? Thanks

You prolly just voided the warranty on what you replaced. Nothing you said should have any significant effect on anything else. Minus MAYBE the short shifter (i'm assuming stick shifts is reffering to short shifter)

im not familar with how hyundai warranty works, if u mod the engine in any way or the exhaust will that void the powertrain warranty, or if just a muffler is put on will that void the warranty. Just wondering if anybody out there works at a dealership or as come across this before. Thanks

every dealership is different

ask them first like i said and get it in writing

because if they just say okay, as soon as you take it in, they will say, **** off, you're warranty is gone

get it in writing it they say it is okay. nothing should be bad on that list except maybe the light up gauges... that requires taking some **** apart, and if you don't do it right, you'll get a nice little air bag light come on

Thay can NOT void the warranty unless they can prove the related part caused the problem in the first place. Meaning... If your muffler falls off, they can not void the warranty because you have blue headlights.

It is called the Magnuson-Moss Act ... read up on it. Ask the service advisor if they have heard of it and see what they say.

bullshit, they voided my warranty and could not prove **** on my cosmetic upgrades... and my fire extinguisher

magnasom moss act is great, and a good tool to use to threaten before, but my lawyer couldn't do **** with it. i am outta a warranty

just because it says that, doesn't mean they are gonna do everything to get out of it.

one more time, for the love of tiburons and all hyundai good things, ask them and get it in writting.

Actually dealership refuses to put anythign in writing because the manufacturer doesn't allow them to. So I was instructed to 'use good judgment'
