Ok this if for the people that are really serious about racing and loosing ALOT of extra weight that is on your car. Please be adviced that ONCE YOU TAKE IT OFF ITS A BITCH TO PUT BACK ON! So if your going to take off any plastic off inside of your car it's pretty much doing to stay off. All you need is a drill and a socet or wrench set. Warning: This took me about 8-9 hours to do and my door planels arnt even off yet. Remember if you are doing weight reduction you always go from the trunk to the dash. In your trunk is probably one of the heavist peices in the whole interior. Your spear tire. there are also plastic panels on the inside walls of the trunk that have some screws that will easly comeoff with a drill ( I have a 7.2 volt ) make sure you take your spear tire and stuff out first so you have a little whole where you can throw all the screws just incase you need them for something later. after you unscrew the side walls you can pull them off. the plastic stoppers which i call them come off with the side walls as you tear it off. then you take out your back speakers from the INSIDE of the car. youll have to distory the plastic covering in order to get to them. after you have a bear metal trunk, its time to work on the inside back seat. youll need your wrench set with maybe a acctended head. if you feel around were the seat belts are on the botton near where you sit there is a minor crack that you can slip your hand in and find the bolt. uncrewing these bolts will take of the bottom part of the seat ( the part there you sit) (keep as much debris out of your car as possible make a nice little stack outside your car so it dont get in your way) then there are a few more bolts connecting the upper seat ( the part you lay your back against) then that comes right off) Now for the part of carpeting that surrounds your back speakers, you will have to unscrew the childs safty anchor, and pull it back hard. it will come off and you will see that is it connected to your seat beat devices. there are to nuts on top and buttom of each device and the whole thing will come off. Next take off your rear door panels. make sure the windows are rolled up. there is a trick to takeing of the manual roll up window lever but i cant figure it out thats why my door panels are still on. ( My car is all manual ) your also going to have to unscrew your door openor with the lock. there are two metal wires that lock and open the door. youll see em once you take your door panels off. the screws for the door panels are around the door there should be some on the buttom too so you might wanna get a towel if your afraid of getting dirty. after the door panels are off install your door openers w/lock (if you wish). now lets look out the rear window sittig inside the car. if you look up youll see a side panel that keeps the carpet on the roof in place. you can pulll both of these off now. now for the panels near your door and on the floor near the door you can pull those off too. next if you have the hand bracers that are on your roof carper installed your gunna have to pry the covers of to get to the screws. once you have one screw undone then just give the handle a pull and the other cover comes off. unscrew it and it comes off. repeat the steps for all 3 hand straps.now your back seat should be nothing but bear metal except the carpent on top and the carpet on bottom. Now where gunna have to remove the two front seats. there are two bolts front and back of the seats. undo them and put your seats aside these are a little heavy so DO be carefull please!! next is your side panels were your seat belts for the front two seats are. your going to have to lift the seat belt up a little to see to see 2 screws on a black peice of plastic. undo them. then rip off your side panel and your gunna have to cut it because you cant take your seat belt device off. reinstall you black peice with the two screws. if you look down the seat belt near your side panel . look all the way down and youll see a little cover . theres a nut under it take off the cover and remove the nut because its keeping the buttom carpent on. move the carpet away and reinstall the nut. your car should be looking kinda emtpy by now. Let us now remove you center console. there are 3 screws on each side. take off your shifter console and chuck it outside. now you can remove your whole center constole Dirty in there aint it? now let us move on to the front and passanger seat plastic panels the are near the floor board. you can pull these off. but youll have to unscrew the part thats near the glove box(passanger side) and the fuse box ( driverside) to pull them off. next lets pull the panels that are up top near the carpet. these will come off without anyunscrewing. now if you have that little light in the center of your roof carpet your gunna have to cut around it so the carpet comes down. your also doing to have to unscrew your sun gaurds near the front of the carpeting. this will pull right off. set it outside. now its time for the floor . there will be two black devices that screw into your floor near your grounding air flow ducts. they move and i think they just hold the carpet down. **** if you dont know what im talking bout them just start ripping out the floor carpet and if something gets inyour way unscrew it or pull real hard Once you have your floor carpet out of the way continue on to your passanger and driver door panels. once they are off ( make sure your windows are UP !!!!!!!!!) unscrew your speakers and put them inside) follow the same instructions I ordered the last time I took of door panels for the rear seats. now afer youve done all this (your almost done) yay!. Take your sterio deck out if you want, u probably should unless you want to just leave it there. uninstallation of sterio is easy. all you have to do is unscrew a screw down near your ash try and pull back a little. NOT TO HARD THOU! there is a screw that is near you brightness level which , youll have to get on the right side of your ac panel and look near the left side where your brightner was and youll see it. unscrew that and it will come right off. 3 or 4 screws should be holding your deck inplace. take it out and disconnected it and put it in a cool place away from heat. ( please be sure you take your CD or TAPE Out) put your ac panel back on . time to put your seats back in. this might require of bit of patience this is a little tricky, there is a leaver on the set that makes the seat go back and forward. make SURE both base peices on your seat are up forward so your seat is as far back as it will go. if you can get your FRONT two screws in first the rest is easy. After your done with both seats your pretty much finished ( ill tell you how to do the dash when I get it done) Your probably gunna have a 100lbs pile up of plastic and carpeting after this. So becarefull of sharp egdes and whatever. and this my friends is how you do weight reduction.

If you take the rear seats out 1st it makes the rear deck and rear speakers real easy to take out. And u don't have to rip anything. Just a dumb question, unless u race like everyday or are thinking of going pro, y the hell would u go through all this trouble???

Be nice or I will delete your posts like Prorally's.

Lantra was trying to share info with the members.
That is what this site is for.
It was very kind of Lantra to do this.
He spent sometime on his post to help people out. If you don't like the way he did it, then don't take his advice.
No one is holding a gun to your head right???
So chill out. For future reference: If you have a problem, or feel like being rude to someone to make yourself feel better...

IF my purpose was to be malicious I could do alot worse. I apologize if I was being deconstructive, I was just commenting on his detail to the topic. No harm intended, I just didnt believe many people have the attention span to read the whole post. I was not trying to be rude to anyone, and I have enough self confidence not to insult people to make myself feel better. I do see if my comment is taken out of context it could be insulting. I am aware he was trying to share and Everyone appreciates contribution to HP.com. I was just Playing Around, "JK-just kidding".

My intention was not to be rude or anything. As a matter of fact, I gave advice about making the reduction easier in the beggining of my post. The question might not have sounded right, but thats not how I meant it. Besides the fact that i didn't know he wanted to go pro.
