You need to understand and regonize what people makes best of what product. Sony makes good video gaming consoles and TV, there amps suck and so do there decks, I recommend you getting PIONEER,MTX,OR ALPINE.

I'm a Ford Man With a Tuned Hyundai!
And for all you ricers out there! www.riceboypage.com Enjoy!
I'm sorry to hear you all talk sh*t like that. I have a Sony ABP... with a sh*tty amp and 2 Rockford Fosgate 12", and I have never had a complaint, except for noise violations... I havent had too much experience with their amps, but have one their head units and I'm happy. To me it's not brand this, brand that... you get what you pay for...
I have always had sony decks and have loved them but have stayed clear of their speakers and amps in the past cause I heard they were crap. But they realy have seemed to turn their line around with their new explode series. It may not be the best that is on the market but it also is not the most expensive.
I totally dislike sony because the stuff is all hype. Get some real car audio like soundstream products or kicker. I've never heard anything louder and clearer than the subs and amps that soundstream have. As for myself i have a pair of soundstream spl 12's and a soundstream rubicon 502amp bridged 2 ohm mono. Head unit alpine. all other speakers mids, highs, tweets, are all boston acustic.
Actually if you are going for a sony amp... yes, ES is what you want. They aren't expensive, but they are good. What other amps are you looking for? Kicker, MTX, and Rockford make some really good amps. I can help you with audio stuff usually. Later.
TyperShark: You totally hate sony eh? Did you ever own some of their products and use it to the right specifications? If you have, you would actually like Sony. I'm dead serious. I can show you some Sony X-plod ES setups in cars... all sony.. everything, its amazing. If you do everything properly and KNOW what you're buying, yes... Sony can work for you. Don't diss sony because you like the setup you have.

You laugh because I'm different... I laugh cuz you're all the same.
Yes, i have had several sony head units, never will buy them again and yes i have seen and heard several sony demno vehicles.
They are ok for the price but nothing worth useing to compete with, but everyone has thier own opinions.

I hate all units with pop down faces. Just one more thing to be screwing with on the radio to get you in an accident

Yeah it's a pain. That's why you get an MP3 CD player so you switch discs every day and have plenty of tunes to go around
And the Sony mobileES stuff was kickass, but they stopped making it now. I don't know why. The XPlod stuff isn't great
sorry to hear that some of you don't like sony stuff. I have their ES line in my home theater and love them. So, I went and got some of the xplode series and love them. My amp went out once because of a faulty output stage so I ahd it rreplaced. So faar I haven't have any prblem with it. Just like anything else, nothing is perfect. Stay with the specs and you'll be fine.
