Damn straight. There are two warranties- a 60k and a 100k. The 60k warranty covers everything except consumables such as brake shoes, struts, etc. The 100k warranty is only for the tranny and the main body of the engine. Not the sensors, not the A/C, radiator, steering gear and whatnot. In fact, I believe the engine part of the warranty only covers the block and the head and the moving parts contained within. If anything else goes south, it comes out of your pocket. Which is why I need to learn how to muck about under the hood myself, as my 60K warranty is geting ready to turn into a pumpkin. The warranty doens't cover routine maintenance either, so expect to pay about $400.00 or so at 60K for a timing belt (rice buring P.O.S., why couldn't they put a timing chain in the engine? ). We even have to repalce the bleeding tensioner, although the H2O pump is not necessarily disposable during the procedure. Anybody know if the Beta is a zero clearance engine? I don't want to have to untangle my valves if the belt breaks before I get the $ to change it.
