What does these lights mean?

768 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  wilburisthecoolest
I just got my car back from the body shopm but still waiting on my new front bumper. Anyways, the car set there for about 3 weeks and I get it back with a emereacy brake light, battery light is on. What does this mean? I tired resetting the ecm, but nothing. Then the windshield wipers began to go and they would not stop. So I had too take out the fuse. Anyone have any clue whats going on with my car?

Thanks
Ben

That sounds interesting I am guessing you must have a short somewhere. So your E-brake light is on, your battery light is on, and your wipers are always on? Another thing is does the car start cause it could be that your battery is low.

Yes. Yes the car starts everytime. Its freaking me out.
try checking your brake fluid level for the parking brake light. As for the other lights ?
Sounds like you have an electrical gremlin...bum bum BUM! Try to get ahold of a battery that you know is good, like out of another car or something, and replace your battery with that one.

Yea, that was the 1st thing I checked. All fluid levels are good.
know anyone good with wiring? Buy them a 6-pack and let them go to work on your car. Somewhere in there a wire is crossed.. or melted.. or something..

You can try to isolate it by figuring which circut it is on. remove your fuses one at a time to try and find the culpurt. insufficent voltage, or inconsietent voltage might do this. make sure your grounded well. but yeah.. thats going to be either something extremely simple.. or its going to take forever to fix.
