Ok, I really don't understand what the hell is going on here, in Toronto.

Firstly, this summer, we have been suffocated with the heat, then those stupid green flies that have been everywhere, even in our ears.

Now, te sky is filled with ladybugs... ladybugs everywhere and LOTS of them. I hear them hitting on my window... I have NEVER seen so many lady bugs in my life and it's pissing me off.

LMAO lady bugs everywhere? That sucks! I hate getting the bugs off my car, they are so hard to get off. Just think though, cold weather coming and that means no more bugs

Someone told me that the reason of so many ladybugs is because the guverment wanted to balance the other insects that apparently have multiplied and there are too many, so the guverment decided to drop a lot of them from the planes so they could eat them.

LOL...
Yes, I know, that's crazy, the person that told me that is 9 years old.

Silky,

Lady bugs everywhere as well in Pennsylvania. Everywhere! Came in from mowing and they were crawling inside my shirt and on the outside as well. I hear ya though! Although it can be funny watching someone jump around trying to get them out!

LOL

when I lived down south, we had love bugs. I liked to call them "**** Flies" cause all they did was fly around attached to each other having sex. They were everywhere though and it was a pain in the ass to clean them off your car.

No but seriously they are EVERYWHERE here!! and its really annoying. Like today it was a perfect day to get a good car washin in B4 it gets really cold. I took my shirt off, and dammit they wouldnt quit landig on my back, I spent more time swatting them off myback then i did washin my car!! But at leat theyre not as bad as cicadas.

The ladybugs are actually a beetle introduced by the Americans. The beetle was originaly from Asia. They were introduced into the midwest to stop aphids. These little ****ers will also bite people (for those of you who haven't noticed). This is just another prime example of what you get when people start to think that they can manipulate the environment!

Apparently too, these bugs are not very appetising to birds either, making it even harder to control their population.

Tibgrl is correct, the ladybugs prey on aphids. We had a billion aphids this year, so the ladybugs had more food, and were able to reproduce quicker. Now there are too many of them, and they have nothing to eat, so they bite people.

Don't worry, 1st frost will wipe them out.
