I'm going to be saving my money b/c I'll be very busy in college so wont have time to spend. B/c of this I should have enough for a really nice car by the time I graduate with my degree. Out of this list what would be the best car ...keep in mind I have plans on customising it... 99' Mitsubishi ECLIPS, 98' Toyota SUPRA, 99' Tiburon, or a 2003 Tiburn?...I know everyone here is Tiburon fans but be honest. If you had the money and plans on customising, what car would you buy?

I would take Supra 98; if it is a twin turbo =)
But again, this is HYundai forum and by looking at the V6s that came in, mybe 2003 V6.. (People don't get me wrong this is only if I've got money for it <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>) I would probably stick to I4 or V6 Tiburons since I don't have tons of money to spend = p

I would say

1) Supra ONLY if it is Twin Turbo or knock it down to last place.

Next its a tough call.

2) Eclipse AWD if your looking for performance, otherwise

3) Tiburon V6.

Though for personal reasons I would choose the Tiburon because its new and I have my personal list of reasons why I don't buy used.

If you've got the money go for the supra TT. But then again, if also gotta think of the insurance and all the other costs...oh well...

Then I would choose the new tiburon over the eclipse.... you'll be one of the few people who own one....

I just want a really cool car that runs great and is well made. So far after reading a ton of user opinions, I have heard a lot about problems with Tiburons. Most arent major but I dont hear about these many problems with other cars. Of course I'll be replacing a lot of parts when I customise it but I want a dependable car for a while till I have the money to customise. I have heard about problems with Lights blowing, paint chipping after a fewmonths, motor problems and a few more but cant think of them right yet. All these are problems I have heard with Tiburons even brand new ones.<img src=/images/forums/snitz/eek.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

I love the body design on the Tiburons except 200-2002. On those I dont like the way the lights are. But I do like the new 2003 Tiburon. These cars look so awesome when customised and with kits. Also I want a cool looking car that a ton of people dont have. An example is Honda Civics. I see these cars so much and the same thing with Ford tauruses. The 00-01 tiburon also looks great with a 1k-1.5k $ body kits! Some people don't like this model but I love the quad lights, when other cars have TEN front lights, factory made <img src=/images/forums/snitz/smile.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>

don't buy hondas, there are so many HONDAs! Even NSX, there are tons! Hyundai's are the coolest until too many people start getting them, it won't be long!

Just keep in mind if you buy the 99 Eclipse TURBO, then at some point you will face crank walk and replace the bottom end of the engine (if you mod it at all).
