yea, wytch is right by all common theory and belief around here. most people can't push their accents past 150 hp with the stock block/bottom end/cylinder walls, all that good stuff, even if uve got forged crank, pistons.. all that junk. and thats IS on the newer 1.6 dohc (which, while similar, really is a completely differnt engine than the 1.5L sohc/dohc's) ..and especially if u have the sohc 1.5 <img src=/images/forums/snitz/disapprove.gif width=15 height=15 border=0> u got the lowest of the lowly (so do i, don't bust my chops) and it'd take ALOT of work to pull 200 hp from it! a turbo can net u about 40-60 hp or whatever u said, and n2o will net u the said shot or close in hp, but thats on an engine that is prepared for it, u can't just bolt it on (and i mean really prepared!) id heard some guys talkin about how to shave the heads and make compression/stroke different..i really dunno that much, but i kno enough that u can't just stick it on. plus u gotta be able to get the fuel and the air there, tb bim and fuel pump and injectors... theres ALOT of work to make a genuine 1.5 (or 1.6) into a beast. ..ud be better off with a beta, cus ud have to push more hp and boost before u need to learn how to really tune all aspects of an engine.
but once u learn to do these things, my can u do amazing stuff! i was reading this article about this guy who took a b16b and diff heads and all sorts of mismatched parts to build a honda engine with the most strength/potential. hes runnin 13.2's N/A ! wow
