well i just installed Power Elite PC 4200
from Code Alarm for $300 with 3 blue led and hood pin installed (did i pay too much?)
the thing is that the remote has a range of 10feet is this normal? the remote has a new battery.
the stock unit had a range of 50feet or so and i talked to the shop who installed it and they told me that new alarm these days have short range is this true or is he telling me crap becuase they messed up the install?

Huh? What did i do?

He is bullshitting you dude I have an Alpine alarm and my range is like 50 feet or more but it could be that the alarm has no range

You could try repositioning the little wire antenna that is on the brain of the alarm. It may be laying/attached to something that is causing interferance.

Read the specs to the alarm. What does it tell you the range of the remote is supposed to be?

Also a little trick to squeeze a little more range out of your remote is to place the end up to your wrist and press the button. Believe me it works.
