almost done this project and i saw shark sold some 2.5 map sensor that bolts right into the intake manifold, and was wondering do i need it to run 6-8psi

car is a 03 accent automatic
GT28R
custom SS manifold
precision 18x6x3 bar and plate intercooler
2 extra injector controller (2x450cc)
aluminium 2.5" intercooler piping
Tial BOV
2.25 SS downpipe
etc etc
Thanks

can't say i've seen a map code, i have seen 9 other codes though
random misfire, cyl1, cyl2, cyl3, cyl4 (P0*), something about the fuel sender, some code i never bothered to look up (a P2), and IAC too high, IAC too low.

i think it's the ecm itself that doesnt know what to do above atmosphere, not the sensor. ive definitely experienced fuel starvation not under wide open throttle (ecm reading the o2 sensor).
we will be running a walbro 255lph pump, but so far you have had no driving issues. what boost are you running and what set up. Thanks for info

6 psi with 290cc injectors and 255 lph fuel pump (emanage providing injector correction factor). leans out bad when it builds boost and i'm not at wot- so it's still like driving an on off switch.

megasquirt almost built, stupid ecm problems soon to disappear!
If you were to get a code from it it would be an air fuel metering code. The stock map sensor sees atmospheric pressure at its max read voltage (ie 5 volts). Anything about that the ecu cant understand or if its holding that max value. This will cause the tps and the map to be miscalibrated (because they both generate a load value via the pcm to the ecu) and will throw a code. I've had a variety of codes from it but I have a maf. Whether it be mas/map the codes can/will be similar. One said the tps value does not match maf value (load). One said air fuel metering , cant remember others. Most people install a check valve in the map sensor voltage line to prevent it from "seeing" boost so the ecu doesnt freak.
ok and my other problem is taping the fuel line to bring the fuel to the extra injectors, the feed line is plastic?? I was thinking of removing the big allen key bolt at the other end of the rail. If i bought the 2.5 map sensor that bolts in place that would help with the
code? A place in korea sells them.
