Been a while since I had some windows tinted.

What's a good price for getting a 2003 Tiburon"s windows tinted? I got one estimate of $145 for reflective tint lifetime warranty. Is that in the ballpark?

Anyone know of any good internet site for car graphics?

Which tintshould I get on my Tiburon - smoke or reflective? The invoice said the car was Mystic Teal, but it looks more like Carbon Blue to me. I think they made a mistake. Although when the light hits it just right, sometimes it looks like it has a little blue-green in it. I have only seen a grey and black one in this town. What do you guys think?

That sounds about right. I have 20% all around on my 98 tib. I think it makes a HELLUVA difference. IMO, looks MUCH better. Also got an opinion from a honda owner, said mine looked better than the one sitting next to mine w/ no tint. See, not ALL honda drivers are stooooopid.

I got quoted for 135 - 145 CAN from speedy auto glass and has a lifetime warrany, but I think I got a good deal cause I know the manager. From the dealership on my 2k it cost me 450 CAN and I thought that was alright. I cant wait too see my carbon blue with the tint tomorrow afternoon

When they tint the windows they don't just put that dark film over the windows they actually spray on a finish that sets into the windows, right?
I don't want that cheap film crap that peels off after a couple of years.

I went to another place today and they have a special - $125 for the smoke. This guy told me the reflective would not look as good because there is no chrome around the windows and the passenger windows already are blacked out around the edges. I think I agree with him and will get the charcoal.

TiCeR- Yeah it is Mystic Teal. Kinda looks blue unless you look at it from a distance with the sun shining on it and you can see a bit of the blue-green.

I traded a 2000 Dodge Ram Quad cab for this car. I was really missing the truck for a while, but I'm getting used to the car. Starting to like it even more. I haven't really gotten on it yet, but it seems to have some decent power. The 5.9 in the truck would really scream. Gas situation isqite a bit better though.

I will agree, you need a silver car or have chrome on the car in order to put silver reflective tints on a car. Chrome rims MIGHT do it, but I still see a clashing.

Otherwise, I say black tints on anything looks good, I think black Tiburon or Carbon Blue Tiburons look sweet with the tints.

Thats just my personal opinion.

For my Sonata I paid $140 Cdn all the way around for a SEDAN!! My Tiburon cost me $100 Cdn. So in other words thats like $60 US.

Well I love the windows tinted on the blue and the sun just came out for a few and snaped a few pics of it. Personally I think the '03 has to have the windows done. I got 20% all the way around and they charged me 130 bux for it. I felt sorry for the guy doing the hatch cause tis huge compared to the 2k and it was his first '03 hes done. But all in all im very happy and has really finnished the car nicely. here are some pics and I hope they work.

Thanks cheori99
I live just outside of the GTA but my friend that did the tint said the legal tint for the side windows is supposed to be at 35% but I wanted it the same all the way around just to look better. The car was pretty dirty when I took those pics and I had waxed it over the weekend and it figures when I woke up it was P|ssin down rain. Tonight when I drove the car from work the visability was better than I thought at night being used to the old tib at 35% all around.

lexxter: thanks for the comments and the digital cam I used was an olympus E-10 that I have and takes a nice pic. I can do 8X10 pics with no distortion at all and love it! But its a really pricey cam though.

thanks for all the comments guys. Ill take some more pics in a few weeks when I put my new system in it

You want graphics... Go with Modern Image. They are well known and they do excellent work. Hell, they did the majority of the cars in The Fast And The Furious.
