Got a star crack in my windscreen on the weekend, it's not chipped just a crack about 1/4 inch diameter.

Does anyone know of any product for a DIY repair? Just trying to save a few $$, it will likely cost me about $50+ to have it repaired.

umm.. i dunno but i know a dent like thing i had qucikly expanded to a crack.. so do it fast.

Yeah I intend to do it ASAP before it soreads. I think I'll have to go down to local auto parts store at lunch time & see if they've got anything.

I assume you are referring "windscreen" as we know "windshield". (People call it different names around the world, it seems). First of all, whatever you decide to do in the meantime, DONT TURN ON THE DEFROSTER. That will turn it into a crack and then continue to grow, then you risk it shattering. Bring it to a glass specialist, where they can fill in the chip and fix it. Usually car washes or detail places have chip repair. However, it does not always work and it can crack as soon as you put on the defroster. If not, see if insurance will cover it. But get it fixed, as over time with changing weather from hot/cold, it will become worse.
