hey guys can anyone help me out here now.

i would like to wire my sub/s in a 4 ohm load.

how many subs would i need to due so they are 3.1per voice coil

you chant change the ohms of the voice coils by how you wire them. That is set by the speaker. But if you retype your question I'd be glad to help<img src=/images/forums/snitz/thumbup.gif width=25 height=18 border=0>
If you are saying that your subs ARE 3.1ohms/coil then that should be ok for a 4ohm stable amp. I have a US Amps 2000x hooked up to a DD Beast. The 2000x is 4 ohm stable bridged, and my beast is dual 2 ohm speaker, so currently i have it wired up in a 4ohm coniguration which is fine. But i have a friend that has a DD Beast and 2 2000x's hooked up to it. Each bridged running 2ohms each. And it works out fine. You just have to watch out and make sure you either:
A) Dont run it too long or
2)<img src=/images/forums/snitz/wink.gif width=15 height=15 border=0>Dont crank it up too much, heh heh
but 3.1 for a 4ohm amp isnt bad at all

ok yeah i know what you mean.

thats kind of what i was saying my amp puts out 900watts at 4ohms bridged.. so i was wondering how many suibs i would need to run as close to a 4 ohm load.

say for instance if i wire 1 10" in series the load would become 6 ohms. or such. since each vc is 3.1 if i wired them in parrelel the same sub load would become 1.5 ohms..

hehe ill just get a shop to due the math

just get 2 and series/paralell them back to 3.1 and i'm tellin ya, you'll be fine
