Guys.

Don't worry, I'll let you know when new pictures are available. Next week will be amazing trust me!

Justin, you are right; 6k per race sounds like a lot, but it's pretty cheap considering the technology involved in this race car...Plus the expense...transport...damage...crew...hotels for a week... :)

To give you an idea, to run a car (rent your seat) in the Canadian Formula Ford Championship will cost you $125k Can a season, in the USF2000: $250k US, Formula Atlantic car; 1 million US...CART; I don't want to think about it!

6k does not sound that expensive anymore? The Grand-Am Series is one hell of a good series (races last between 2 and 6 hours), great exposure...Television coverage...Battle between factory teams...

That's racing I guess... :)

Keyguy,

I know that's not bad...I was just saying it's still a dream for an income like mine. Do you know will the grand-am cup be covered on speedvision this year? I could never find it on this last season? I would love to be able to watch the races. I may very well make it to Daytona for the race on January 31st. Do you know how much tickets will be? It's not listed as an event on the daytona speedway site yet? If I do go, what are the chances of being able to see the new race Tiburon's up close?

Thanks,
JustinL

Congratulations KEY GUY,.. from a fellow HMA factory sponsor recipient I see you have taken
great steps in your quest for greatness... Your web site is quit informative and very insightful.
The photographs help a great deal.
We're planning to do similar work to our Tib. with future plans in entering the I.D.R.C. circuit later in the season for 2002...
Once again,..Great Job!

Justin,

Let me try to find the info. I'll get back to you. But it should not be that much for a ticket.

Yes, the series just confirmed that all races will be televised on Speed Channel (formaly known as Speedvision). That's great news for sponsors.

And yes, if anyone of you come to a Grand-Am event, do not hesitate to come and see us. I'll personnaly take you around, I'll sit you down in the car and introduce you to drivers.
Next season, we will be visiting: Daytona (FL), Fontana (CA), Phoenix (AZ), Watkins Glen (NY), Virginia (VA), Mont-Tremblant (QC-Canada) and Mosport (Ont-Canada). Another race has been added but the location is still unconfirmed.

Anyone in the Montreal region (QC-Canada)? If so, let me know. I can arrange a tour of our facilities/cars for race fans.

Jem, I wish you all the best with your new tib, if you have any technical questions, let me know! We'll show the world Tiburons kick ass! :)

BTW: What is I.D.R.C.?

Key Guy

Keyguy,

Awesome, I am going to do my best to be in Daytona. I read on your site that the race there will be a part of the 24 hour event. I think the tickets are 75 u.s. for the full event which is not bad at all. If my finances go through I could actually be driving a new Tib myself by that time.

I.D.R.C. = Import Drag Racing Championship.
I'll be looking foward to meeting all of you. We are still in an extremly early stage at this point and there has been talk of rally or road course racing. One of our techs. is SCCA licensed and I'm leaning more towards using this to our convenience. I would ultimately like to see our tib. road race at the event which Mazda along with "Hot Import Nights" promote at Laguna Seca. They began this event @ 2years ago and is televised on ABC.

well I'm just waiting to see if it's ok with them, and that they can get the guys in, cause it's a long drive to just go and see the cars from far, I'd love to, but I wouldn't feel right dragging nikki out there... :( plus we still trying to save money cause of the wedding...
