Hey guys,
I'm finally posting my pics of what my car looks like with the Sylvania Xenarc X1010 auxiliary low beams. Take a look:

This is pic of the color difference between HID-looking headlamps and actual HID.

A quarter view of both lights outside the car.

A view of how bright the H4 PIAA Super Plasma GT-X headlights appears on the road. They appear yellowish-white.

This is what the Xenarc X1010 fog lights look like alone, headlights off. Notice the wide dispersion pattern and the blueish-white color. Although noticeably brighter, they do not extend beyond the range of the headlights.

This is what you get when the headlights and aux lights are switched on. It almost appears as if the H4s have no affect. However, in the distance and in the center you can see the gaps are filled in with yellow-white color.

If you're thinking about getting these aux lights you won't be disappointed. HID on the road is superior to any H4 upgrade you can buy. You can never get the color output of HID from a tinted H4 bulb because you can never get rid of the yellow that halogen produces. HID does not cast a yellow light.

As you can see the aux lights are doing about 75% of the job lighting up the road. They almost completely overwhelm the PIAA H4 output.

Compared to actual OEM HID, the H4 / X1010 combination is an excellent pair but OEM HID still shines brighter and farther due to their projector beam design. Whenever I drive next to a BMW with HID their output is always brighter than mine.

I bought these Xenarc X1010 at Autobarn.com for $300 a year ago. I think now they are $287 w/shipping. Other websites sell them for $350 or higher.

Personally I wouldn't suggest buying the PIAA Super Plasma GT-Xs, because they do not give you the same output as HID. The only reason I got it was to match the color temperature of the headlights (5000K) to the aux lights (5400K). That is only when you look directly at the lights from a distance; on road is another story. If you want HID output you must buy a HID system. If you want the HID-look tinted bulbs will do fine.

What do you think? :smoking:

How did you take the in car pictures of your lights? I've been trying a few times but they just don't do my lights justice. What settings did you use (ie. flash, zoom, lighting)? I've got 300 dollars worth of driving lights on the front of my Accent and I want some pics.

actually i took the pictures just outside the windshield of the car near the fresh air vent. i don't think you can take them inside the car without the glass refracting (angling away) some of the light hitting the camera lens.

i used an Optio 5 megapixel camera, no flash in nite mode. it auto adjusts brightness like our eyes would at night. hard to get rid of the double exposure though...

you want a blue gauge cluster? easy. get some blue LED bulbs, you need 3 of them and a screwdriver for the cluster panel. try this site http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-33222.cfm. it has to be 4-6 LEDs, twin LED isn't bright enough.
