:bored:

Alright here it is. I am looking for information to help to a 4G63-t swap to my Sonata. I have already talked to Alamo Autosports of Arlignton, Tx and they agreed to do the swap and all modification to the engine. What I need to know its what engines to use will 1st gen fit in my car or do I have to have a 2nd gen engine. What are the modifications that are needed. Are there any additional parts that I will need. And what am I looking at as far as time. I have already found all the places to purchase the engine I just need to know once in the engine bay what is needed to be done and to get a since of direction so myself and the Shop can get it done right and done quickly. Since it is a first time deal for Alamo all the help and information I get will help me and save me money in the long run.

You should contact DSM since he has done this swap. His name is Justin. He did it on a 1995 but its virtually the same car. Your going to need to make sure you have all the proper wiring, hardware, and ECM. I am not that farmilar with it myself since I am into tuning the V6, but I know its a good swap to do. As long as you have everything you should be fine. But contact Justin because I know there is something that you have to look out for on what engine you pick, I just forget.

You can use either motor. Go for the 1990 - 1992 6 bolt 4g63t from the eclipse, or galant vr4 turbo. and use the eclipse gs-t fwd turbo gearbox. the swap over, will take about a week including the swap, wiring, dump pipe and exhaust as well as dyno tune.

If you use the 2nd generation eclipse, you will need to move the crossmember, and shave the gearbox to make that mount fit.

alamo should be able to do it quite easily, use the wiring loom and ecu from the eclipse,

By the way my name is Coy,

The guys name is Brice Yingling, http://www.alamoautosports.com

Alright so I should look for 1990 - 1992 6 bolt 4g63t, does it matter wether it is a td04 td05 and so on. Also what is a good price to pay for a 1990 - 1992 6 bolt 4g63t. Hey Justin I know that you have done this befor no what was the deal with your drivetrain. How did you get is setup. Did you have to do any modifications to and if so what. I will try today to get pics of my car up on the site. I believe you all would like the looks. I am going to go to a bigger tire though. I am running 205-45-r17 just to small and they doent like the bumps in the road. Right now its pretty much stock except for the rims. I will be back later with more questions.

Thanks guys and I will keep you posted

it only comes with a td05 14b turbo. thd td04 turbo is only found on the local lancer gsr, or 2 of them on the 3000gt. The eclipse gearbox goes straight in, i have broken one driveshaft, in the first year, and have been using the sonata one since. the sonata ones are slightly longer.

Do you have a website to go to. Because the link that you have under your profile does not work. What is the condition that your engines are in. What comes with i.e. transmission ecm all that good stuff. That will give me an idea of a price comparison to other sites. Thanx

Web site is under construction sorry about that.

1200 is engine only price, includes intake and exhaust manifolds, turbocharger, injectors, alternator etc etc.

Engines are in good running and looking cond and come with a start up warranty as well.
